The seminar will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome note by Mr. Ahmed Saleh Baabood, Managing Director of OITE and will be carried forward by the speakers from Arabian Research Bureau LLC Real Estate Analysts, Sultan Qaboos University, Bank Muscat SAOG, Oman Tourist Development Company, Gulf Real Estate Development LLC, MESA - Middle East Strategy Advisors, Saudi British Property Investments, Muscat Insurance Co. SAOC and Muscat Life Assurance Company.
Arabian Research Bureau LLC Real Estate Analysts is also acting as Seminar Advisor and Mr. Gus Freeman, Managing Director will speak on trends and characteristics of supply and demand in land, residential, commercial property and rental markets, in order to understand the recent increase in prices and feature whether these will continue to increase or decline. This opening session will raise issues to be presented and discussed during the seminar.
The Future Growth of Muscat Capital Area is the topic Dr. Talal Al Awadhi of Sultan Qaboos University will speak on. Recent changes in rules will be described and their impact on the market. He will also show the results of the analysis from the Muscat Urban Growth Project, highlighting the direction of future growth.
Mr. Sulaiman Hamed Al Harthy, DGM - Consumer Banking, Bank Muscat will elaborate Mortage Financing in Oman. The talk will look at developments on the mortgage market which has opened up to competition in the last 12 months and consider what effects this will have.
Chief Operating Officer of OMRAN, Mr. Tim Redman will describe the scale of investment coming in to Oman in Integrated Tourism Complexes, how this compares within the GCC context, and briefly what Oman's specific value proposition is to investors.
There will be a discussion of the issues facing developers - what makes for good development and getting it right by Mr. Uwe Christiansen of MESA
A talk on real estate investments opportunities in the international market will be highlighted in the 2nd session by Dr. Hannah Alasam and Miss Nuha Muntadher from Saudi British Property Investments. Strategic Planning & Management for Real Estate Investments will be discussed by Dr. Rasheed Safi, Entrepreneur, Founder of Gulf Real Estate Development LLC wherein he will emphasise on the challenges, opportunities and critical success factors.
Mr. Rawny Khadr of Dhofar Insurance will present his speech on insurance sector developments whereas Mr. Andrew M. Woodward of Muscat Insurance Co. SAOC and Mr. Peter Drummond, of Muscat Life Assurance Company will speak on Bank Assurance.
A half day seminar consisting of 3 sessions will underline Latest Market Trends in Oman's Real Estate Markets, real estate investment opportunities and issues and insurance sector developments in the Sultanate of Oman.
Seminar on International Property & Investment at OITE
The International Property & Investment Seminar will be organised on 17 January 2007 to coincide with International Property Exhibition & Money World - Banking, Finance, Investment & Insurance Show at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
