Cirque du Soleil's production of Quidam is the most ambitious live event ever staged in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) and with a choice of ticket sales outlets including a dedicated booking hotline and transactional website plus a number of retail outlets located throughout Dubai eager fans have responded in force buying close to 100 tickets an hour.
"To say that we've surpassed expectations would be an understatement -- clearly consumers in the UAE had already made up their minds that Quidam is a must-see experience, a testament to the vision of Istithmar, management expertise of RetailCorp and the reputation of Cirque du Soleil," said Marvin Shaire, CEO, RetailCorp.
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the TECOM (Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority), the Dubai season of Quidam is being produced in partnership with RetailCorp, a subsidiary of Istithmar, and in association with Nakheel and The Palm.
With more than 50 performers from 13 different countries, Quidam is a thrilling combination of acrobatic artistry, technical expertise, extravagant design and exceptional musical inspiration, woven into a seamless whole by an emotional dramatic thread. Quidam features the German wheel, banquine, Spanish webs, diabolos, aerial contortion in silk, and of course the acclaimed crazy clowns. A haunting live score draws from a wealth of eclectic cultural blends, classical strings and synthesizers, samplers and guitars.

Starting on 1 November, 2006, tickets will be available for purchase through three distribution channels:
1. Customers can select seats and pay online, via Showbiz's secure website at www.showbizme.com
2. A dedicated call centre will be open 9am-9pm, seven days a week: +971 04 3 66 22 77.
3. Buy in person at China Court, Ibn Battuta Mall, or at one of four Jumbo Electronic Retail outlets Mall of the Emirates, Wafi City, BurJuman, and Bur Dubai (Jumbo Corner).
Regardless of which channel the customer chooses to use, each ticket purchased guarantees a reserved seat. Tickets purchased at a retail outlet will be printed out on the spot, and customers will leave with their tickets.
PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Weekdays (except Monday): 8:00 pm
Weekends (Friday and Saturday): 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm
(Please note performance schedule changes some weeks)
