Drug gives prostate hope

The spread of prostate cancer can be halted with a drug which cuts off the blood supply to tumours, according to a US study cited by the BBC. The University of Texas research showed that the leukaemia drug Glivec helped stop prostate cancer spreading in mice. Cancer experts said the results were promising.
