- PRESS RELEASE
The fifth TV France International showcase organized for television channels in the Near and Middle-East will be held in Dubai on January 24 and 25 at the Dusit Hotel.
The rapid and continuous growth of television operators in the Middle-East has generated significant needs. The twenty French distributors and producers participating in the event represent a wide variety of programs and bring with them an alternative, attractive, quality offer. Viewer ratings for French programs, be they animated cartoons, family fiction, discovery documentaries, current affairs, the performing arts or game shows are rising throughout the world.
The strengthening of actions undertaken in the last five years, with support with the regional television office and the television attachés for the region, have created a broader audience for French television productions and have increased their value in the eyes of decision-makers and viewers in the region. In 2005, sales of French television programs to the Middle-East rose by almost 37%. The increase was highest for animated cartoons (+113%), documentaries (+51%) and fiction.
