Intersec 2007 to open on January 21st

Intersec, the region's largest exhibition and conference on Commercial Security, Police & Homeland Security, Fire, Safety and Health, is just days away from opening its doors to thousands of experts from around the world.
The event will be opened by HE Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, who will be joined by a large number of local and international VIP's and dignitaries, including a Thai delegation from the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Interior and the Royal Thai Police.
The latest commercial homeland security, fire safety, emergency and policing devices and technologies will be making their Middle East debut at Intersec 2007, where more than 600 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance.
Categories include border controls, anti-terrorism, CCTV, fire equipment, PPE, policing equipment, airport security and forensics - to name a few.
Companies taking part in the exhibition, say organisers Messe Frankfurt, will benefit from the highly targeted audience that includes Police, Civil Defence, Municipality, Ports and Airport Authorities, Construction and Consulting Authorities from across the region.
The show acts as a platform for thousands of industry experts to exchange ideas and introduce their latest products and ideas to region and will be host to the 'Police & Homeland Security, Fire , Safety & Health Middle East' conference.
Dubai Department of Civil Defence will be staging live demonstrations of their emergency rescue and fire fighting skills on the first day of the show. These demonstrations largely focus on the use of helicopters as a primary resource in fire fighting, casualty evacuation and rescue.
Intersec also aims to provide networking opportunities, allowing companies to find new sources of distribution and business partners, to build and reinforce existing relationships and obtain an overview of policing, fire safety, emergency services and homeland security in the Middle East.
Visitors can attend the International Police, Fire & Safety Conferences as well as the Industry Insights Conference from 21-23 January. Key speakers such as Brigadier Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Head of Dubai Civil Defence, and HE Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of Dubai Police, as well as other prominent figures, will share their expertise with their audience covering various fields of security and shed light on the latest technologies applied.
By presenting the leaders in their specific field at the show, Intersec provides the local authorities with knowledge about security products and services in order to ensure the wellbeing of their citizens. The Police & Homeland Security, Fire, Safety & Health Middle East Conference will be open to trade visitors 21-23 January from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
