HH Sheikh Ahmed meets DQG's board members

Newly elected board members of the Dubai Quality Group (DQG), recently met His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Department of Dubai Civil Aviation Chairman of the Emirates Group and patron of the organisation, to discuss the latest issues, major projects and strategy that the group will take throughout 2007.
Mr. Al Sawaleh, outlined the proposed agenda for the activities and the achievement awards that the group will be bestowing on individuals and businesses during 2007. These include the "Emirates' Business Woman Award 2007", which will be presented in May and the "Share Best Practice Conference", a forum that follows the annual Dubai Quality Award and which invites winners to share information and discuss the practices that have made them successful. In addition to this, the DQG has the privilege of hosting the "Ideas Arabia" Conference; an event that is now in its second consecutive year and one that looks at the latest trends of suggestion schemes around the world.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed confirmed his support for the group and listened to their views and suggestions. The board members proposals were aimed at raising the levels of quality within the Dubai business sector and they hope to implement these plans immediately.
"Our focus on developing a successful business plan is in line with H.H Sheikh Ahmed's interest as the patron of DQG since its inception. Seeking his ideas and advice is beneficial to all our members, so we are always keen to receive his support," Mr. Al Sawaleh commented. "This visit affirms the continuous guidance and support that H.H Sheikh Ahmed always provides us with and we hope it will continue through the coming years."
Since its inception in February 1994, the DQG has grown to include over 330 prominent organisations from both the private and public sectors. The Group organises activities aimed at developing the professional and managerial expertise of individuals.
Moreover the Monthly Workshops that total more than 33 per year provide members with the tools & techniques to implement new management theories, instituted by DQG depicting Dubai's drive for quality to maintain the competitive edge and realize the vision of becoming the world's most favorite centre for business and trade.
