PSL Energy Services Ltd has appointed Charlie Topp as regional manager for the Middle East

During a 25 year career in the oil and gas industry Mr Topp has held a number of senior positions with major operators in the North Sea, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.

He was regional manager for BJ Services, based in Dubai, for nearly 10 years and more recently Operations Director for the Hydrolink Group of companies with responsibility for all operational activities in the Middle East and Caspian Sea.

Mr Topp also has a depth of experience in delivering against stringent HSE and service quality standards and providing safety leadership in the process, pipeline and well intervention business.

PSL Energy Services managing director, Doug Duguid, said: "We have identified the Middle East as vital to our international growth strategy and in Charlie Topp we have a leader who can further strengthen our reputation with our existing and new customers.

"We are currently well established in the UAE, Qatar and Oman and are looking to further expansion in neighbouring countries in 2007.

"Charlie has spent nearly 15 years working from the UAE and comes with extensive international experience and a very strong process, pipeline and well services background.
