SEN concerns in UAE

Experts in the special needs sector in the UAE have said a lack of specialist personnel and an adequate support structure is causing large numbers of people to miss out on much needed care, reported Gulf News. There are 37 private and public special needs centres in the country but only a small percentage of patients receive treatment and some of those with serous disabilities are simply placed in hospital care.
