The award was presented as a part of the Information Technology Governance Assurance Forum (ITGAF) held on the 21st December 2006.
The ITGAF is an Annual Conference positioned to drive the objectives of ITGAF aiming to aid and promote good practices of IT governance among the government departments and establishments.
Held for the first time in 2006, the event brought together the top management of IT from all departments/ establishments under the Government of Dubai. Participants include Heads of IT department and executive/senior management members who hold responsibilities of leading IT Steering Committee or who has responsibility in decision making for major IT related projects or budget.
Accepting the award on behalf of DUBAL, the Chief Information Officer Mr Ahmad Almulla stated that he is quite pleased and honoured to accept this award on behalf of the company. 'This complements our certification to ISO27001 and series of quality and I.T. related awards the department and the company has been winning over the years. It is a culmination of dedication of our staff, leadership, and continuous improvement culture practiced throughout the company. This gives every encouragement and motivation for us to go on and it is an endorsement of the decisions we have been making under the leadership of our CEO - Mr Abdulla Kalban', he added.
Dubai Aluminium Company, DUBAL, wins ITGAF 2006 Process Maturity Award
The Information Technology department at Dubai Aluminium Company, DUBAL, has won the 2006 Process Maturity Award organised by His Highness the Ruler's Court Financial Audit Department, Government of Dubai.
