- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Studio City (DSC), an arm of TECOM Investments, has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 certification by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance, an accredited third-party registrar of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Jamal Al Sharif, Dubai Studio City Manager said: "The international accreditation underlines our continued commitment to world-class standards. In our effort to achieve excellence, the ISO certification motivates us to deliver better results, and exceed the expectations of our business partners and clients.
"We are delighted to have achieved this milestone even as we are in the process of establishing our infrastructure and setting up internal processes. This validates us as an organisation that is built on quality, literally from the ground up."
A team of TECOM's in-house auditors will be responsible for the continuous review of Dubai Studio City's quality systems. The findings of this team will be audited bi-annually by Lloyds to confirm Dubai Studio City's continuing conformity to ISO 9001 standards.
Launched in 2004, TECOM's Quality Management System was implemented in response to Dubai Holding's focus on excellence, and the TECOM management committee's directive to integrate business excellence practices across the organization.
The TECOM brands that have achieved certification include Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, International Media Production Zone, Dubai Outsource Zone and Samacom.
