Vitaene C aims for Guinness record

The record being targeted will be for the 'largest inflatable balloon-volume'. Shaped in the form of a Vitaene C bottle, the inflatable is estimated to be the size of an eight-story building and is estimated to be twice the volume of the current record.

The 500kg balloon which is made from flame retarded vinyl coated nylon, will blown by an 110kg blower, and will weigh upto six times its weight when pumped up with hot air. The giant inflatable will be placed at the Record Breaking Festival to be held from January 28th to February 02 at Al Safa Park Gate 5.

"We wanted to create something that would give recognition to Vitaene C and subscribe to the brand values of powering the healthy growth. What better way than creating something that is larger than life. Dubai is famous for generating the World's biggest and largest, which is somewhat on lines of what we were looking for, the chunky bottle" said Mr. Hussain Zubaidee of NTDE.

"Vitaene C is a trusted brand locally, it contains Vitamin C, B2, B3 and Niacin. The marketing campaign which was executed in 2006 was target specifically to the health-conscious individual who are looking for a fizzy boost, this year we wanted to make a big deal on the merits of the drink, hence we thought big, with the largest inflatable balloon in the world", added Zubaidee.

The current world record for the largest balloon goes to the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, which was launched by Fox Family Worldwide in 1999. It was measured at 496.45 metres² (5,000 feet²), approximately 1044.8 metres³, less than the structure that would be hoisted at Al Safa Park.

The installation of the balloon will need a team of fourteen specialists who will be flown down from the UK and India. The team includes a project leader and technical engineers.
