This growth was driven by the highly successful launch of new models within the Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge ranges.

"All three brands, as a result of our aggressive product offensive of new model introductions, exceeded our expectations and total sales results were extremely satisfactory," said Trent Barcroft, Vice President, DaimlerChrysler Middle East. "2006 saw the Jeep range expanded with the launch of the Commander and Compass, making it the most complete range of 4x4's available in the region. The Chrysler 300C continued to captivate drivers across the Middle East as the 6.1 litre HEMI powered 300C SRT8 was launched, and Dodge sales grew by a phenomenal 225%, with the Charger and Caliber taking their place alongside the Durango, which also recorded its strongest ever sales to date in the Middle East."

With more exciting models from due throughout 2007, DaimlerChrysler Middle East is confident that the market share for Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge will show further growth this year. "We promise drivers throughout the Middle East even more exciting models in 2007," said Craig Hardie, Marketing and Communications Manager - Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge - DaimlerChrysler Middle East. "New product highlights include the all-new Jeep Wrangler and 4 door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited versions, Jeep Patriot, Dodge Avenger and Caliber SRT4, plus the stunning new Chrysler Sebring. 2007 will certainly see our sales momentum continue."

The Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge design and engineering teams have developed all-new inspirational vehicles that will continue to establish new benchmarks for style, performance and functionality in the Middle East. "It's an understatement to say that we're excited about our launch programme for the coming twelve months," added Barcroft. "To have so many new and exciting products to introduce into the Middle East through 2007 in one year gives us the perfect opportunity to build on the success of 2006 - Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge are the brands to watch out for this year!"
