The newly introduced rate is applicable for transfer amounts of up to AED 3,500 for customers living or working in the UAE and is effective immediately. The rates follow Western Union's new pricing for money transfer fees to the Philippines from across all the Gulf States.

Jean Claude Farah, Western Union Regional Vice President for Middle East, Pakistan and Afghanistan, said, "We are in the process of standardising the service rates to Philippines from the Gulf. The new rates will be of great benefit to those residing in the UAE and on par with the fess charges in our locations in other Gulf States. At Western Union, we make it point of keeping our customers' satisfaction paramount and such offers are part of our service that helps to bring expatriates closer to their near and dear ones back home."

Expatriates sending money to Philippines will benefit not only from the reduced prices, but also from Western Union's network of approximately 5,000 Agent locations spread across the nation of over 7,000 islands. This broad network and service - backed by years of expertise - means the customers can send money to their loved ones quickly, securely and conveniently anywhere in Philippines.

The Western Union ® Money Transfer service has added advantages as the receiver in Philippines does not require a bank account nor has to pay any fee for receiving funds*. Over and above this, customers in the UAE can enjoy a host of benefits that the Western Union® Gold Card loyalty program offers.

The company also provides 24-hour home delivery service which is offered at no extra cost in the Philippines, where deliveries are generally made within 24 hours in metro Manila and 2-3 days for other areas in the country. US dollar payouts are also available and are offered at selected Agent locations and subject to availability of US dollars at that time.

Western Union's network in the UAE includes over 300 Agent locations operating through well-known establishments such as Emirates Post, Al Ansari Exchange, Wall Street Exchange, Alukkas Exchange, Al Ghurair Exchange, UAE Exchange, Al Razouki International Exchange, National Exchange, Orient Exchange, Emirates India International Exchange, Travelex Emirates, Habib Exchange and Redha Al Ansari Exchange.
