- PRESS RELEASE
Lebanese Information Technology Enterprise, LITE, a Dubai based solutions provider and an ACCPAC partner, today handed over a half a million dollars e-Charity project to Human Appeal International - HAI, a non-profitable organization based in Ajman, UAE.
"We are proud to be associated with this project," said Marc Van der Ven, regional director for ACCPAC. "It shows the level of commitment that HAI has towards helping humanity, and how far technology can be leveraged to achieve noble goals."
Underpinning the fulfillment of projects and orphans' donations, accounting and finance management and donations management is ACCPAC Advantage Series 5.O where LITE integrated its web-based application, e-Charity, with ACCPAC. "For example, while regional HAI staff used to manually fill orphans applications, key them into Excel sheets, and send the documents to headquarters via post mail, the browser based feature of ACCPAC allows for standardization of accounting, finance and reporting across the 17 HAI offices and faster and more cost efficient information exchange," explains Ghassan Haddad, project manager at LITE. "To process an orphan application today takes 7 minutes compared to 70 days before the implementation."
"It is exciting to see that Human Appeal International is so keen on using information technology to improve its operational efficiencies in order to better serve its constituents" said Ayman Abouseif, regional marketing director for Oracle Corporation. "Powered by Oracle9i Database, this project has the scalability, security and reliability needed for such a high profile initiative" added Abouseif
"This project is the result of a solid trust between ACCPAC, its business partners and its clients," said Marc Van der Ven, general manager for ACCPAC. "It also shows how our technology can be integrated with other applications to provide an end-to-end solution to our clients."
