DUBAL to sponsor jet ski racing as part of its efforts to nurture UAE nationals in sports

The event consists of five heats spread across the UAE. Two of the heats have already been completed. They were the Dubai Jet Ski Race (Heat 3-UAE) on December 23, 2006 and the Abu Dhabi Jet Ski Race (Heat 4 - UAE) on January 6th, 2007.

Mr. Khalid Essa Buhumaid, General Manager Corporate Relations & International Affair and the Official spokesman of DUBAL said: "DUBAL believes in nurturing and encouraging young national talents in all sporting areas. The Aluminium giant has already been sponsoring Dubai Desert Classic (Golf) for the past 16 years. We have decided to add Jet Ski Racing to our propgramme to enlarge the scope of our sport sponsorship."

DUBAL had earlier sponsored the UAE National Jet Ski Racing back in 2005.

Out of the participants listed for the event is Mr. Nadir Bin Hindi who won In 2005 the Roundabout Super Stock 800X1,200 cc category held in Abu Dhabi.

"This year Nadir is competing with participants from across the globe." Mr. Buhumaid said. "We are proud to sponsor a talented sportsman like Nadir, who is also a professional pilot," he added.

The next heat - Fujairah Jet Ski Race (Heat 5 - UAE), is scheduled for 17th February while the Abu Dhabi Jet Ski Race (Heat 6 - UAE) will be held on 24th March, 2007. The 7th and Final Heat - UAE Dubai Jet Ski Race is scheduled for 4th April 2007 at Mina Seyahi.
