BUILDEX07 receives overwhelming response

BUILDEX07, the second Construction and Quarry Industry Exhibition, concluded recently at Fujairah Exhibition Centre, Fujairah, UAE, amid rave reviews from the exhibitors, trade visitors and the press alike.

Held 8-10 January 2007, BUILDEX07 was organized by Fujairah Exhibition Centre and Fujairah Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture. The highly successful show had an enviable representation of over 300 brands by 60 companies from more than 20 countries, such as Germany, Italy, United States, United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Spain, Finland, Scotland, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates, in two spacious halls and outdoor space covering an area of over 16,000 square metres.

BUILDEX07 was officially inaugurated by H.H. Shaikh Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, the Deputy Ruler of Fujairah at 11.00 hours on Monday, 8th January 2007. The ceremony was also graced by high-level officials from Fujairah Chamber of Commerce, Fujairah Government, other Government departments from the various Emirates and several international delegates.

Over 10,000 Trade Visitors had a first-hand view of the latest products, services, technologies and equipment from companies from diverse sectors such as construction, construction products, equipments supply and rentals, contracting, civil engineering, aggregates and sand, stone crushing, screening and washing, marble manufacturing, rock drilling and blasting, sandblasting, transport, etc.

Major players in the Construction and Quarry Industry like Mohamed Abdul Rahman Al Bahar, GENAVCO LLC, Al Wasit Machinery, Emirates for American & European Cars, Adnoc Distribution, Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment LLC, etc, made a strong impact during the show.

According to Hanif Shaikh, General Manager of Fujairah Exhibition Centre, the Exhibition received excellent response from the visitors and exhibitors, establishing the importance of BUILDEX07 as a major event in the Construction and Quarry Industry. All exhibitors have expressed satisfaction with the numerous positive enquiries and trade deals generated during the show.

The Show was concluded 10th January by a distribution of Certificates to the exhibiting companies, followed by a networking luncheon at Al Diar Siji Hotel, Fujairah, in honour of the patrons, supporters and exhibitors.

BUILDEX07 was supported by Adnoc, Fujairah Freezone, Fujairah Municipality and Department of Industry & Economy. Furthermore, the show elicited interest from all the major newspapers and magazines in the industry.
