- PRESS RELEASE
Sahm Technologies, the recently launched technology subsidiary of regional real estate major, EMAAR Properties, today announced plans of setting up its advanced Data Centre and Call Centre operations.
Sahm Technologies has already provided EMAAR subsidiary, Dubai Bank, with a range of Data Centre and Call Centre solutions, which was set up in a record time of two months. While the Data Centre's main task is to provide production support, perform batch runs and generate reports and customer bank account statements, the Call Centre handles all customer information requests to the Bank's toll-free number.
The new Data Centre will provide local and regional businesses with the ability to cost-effectively and securely manage and store their mission-critical data on the reliable UNIX platform. The company's Call Centre will offer a range of advanced services, including network-based and customer-premises based solutions.
Mr. Arvind Bhatnagar, Chief Executive Officer, Sahm Technologies, said that Sahm Technologies was committed to offering a wide range of technology related services - from hi-tech home communications to sophisticated, corporate IT solutions and consulting.
"In the new age economy most businesses have seen an explosive growth in the amount of mission-critical data that they have to process and store. Building a data storage and back-up infrastructure is both technology and capital intensive.
"The launch of our new Data Centre will play a critical role by offering business entities in the region the option of outsourcing their data management and storage requirements cost-effectively and reliably.
"Similarly with businesses in the region becoming more and more customer-centric, the demand for call centre services is increasing rapidly. Businesses are also rapidly realising the merits of outsourcing call centre services to skilled professionals, equipped with the latest technology. The capacity and reliability of our call centre technology will allow us to provide a level of service that will exceed customer expectations," he added.
Explaining the significance of the company's offsite disaster-recovery system for its Data Centre customers, Mr. Bhatnagar further said that one of the key challenges facing businesses in the region is to ensure the availability of key business processes on a 24/7 basis under all circumstances.
"In the event of a disaster that destroys the IT infrastructure of a business, a contingency plan allows access to crucial data, thereby ensuring the continued smooth running of the business with minimum downtime. The offsite disaster-recovery system will enable our customers to be assured the integrity of their invaluable data under all circumstances."
