Seiji Koyanagi, Managing Director, Panasonic Marketing Middle East, said,
“We are eager to participate in ENVIRONMENT 2007 and demonstrate our commitment to environmental protection and conservation. Since several decades Panasonic has shown a deep-rooted commitment to the environment and we have been focused on manufacturing high quality products that have minimal detrimental affects on the environment.”
In addition to lead elimination, Panasonic has also recently launched a number of initiatives aimed at reducing the company’s environmental impact during the manufacture of its advanced technology products. These include reducing packaging, improving transportation efficiency and making improvements to product development and design such as a reduction in components and CO2 emissions per unit. Furthermore, reduced energy consumption, the use of natural energy sources such as alternative energy generation and tracking waste disposal using GPS and video information are additional measures Panasonic has introduced to consolidate it’s position as an environmentally friendly company.
At ENVIRONMENT 2007, Panasonic will also showcase its state-of-the-art cooling device for radio base stations. The device, which is known for its low power consumption and low noise, also does not use freon gas, making it extremely environment friendly.
“We look forward to using the reach of ENVIRONMENT 2007 to promote the development of ‘Green products’ that feature high efficiency, while at the same time carry out the ‘3Rs’ – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle resources,” said Koyanagi.
The ENVIRONMENT 2007 Exhibition & Conference will target over 375 exhibitors from around the world.
