The Board of Directors of Dubai Financial Market Company (DFM Company) held its first meeting on Wednesday (January 25, 2007).

During the meeting, Mr. Essa Kazim was elected Chairman of DFM Company and Rashid Al Shamsi was elected Deputy Chairman of DFM Company.

The board also agreed on forming four new committees that will manage and run DFM Company's operations namely: Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, Market Control & Surveillance Committee and Nomination Committee.

The board also discussed general guidelines about managing DFM Company's operations going forward.
