Google takes branding gong

A global survey by brandchannel.com has seen Google take top spot as the brand which had the most impact on people's lives in 2006, reported Reuters. Like last year, Google pushed Apple into second place, while video-sharing website YouTube took third spot with online encyclopedia Wikipedia fourth. Coffee chain Starbucks also sneaked into the top five.
