With the recent release of the acclaimed MAC OS X V10.2 'Jaguar', Apple has continued to display its commitment and resolve in serving the interests of its Middle Eastern users.

Apple's Arabic support is becoming a consistent feature of its releases and a myriad of products are already available, which have been custom-made for the Arab market. These Arab-oriented products include the Textra Freehand, Textra Illustrator and ArabiX, which are used in sync with other Macintosh products.

"Today, the ArabiX word processor has become an integral part of Arabic documentation. Previously, Middle Eastern users found it very difficult to create Arabic documents or incorporate Arabic verses in their documents. However, now, this has been eliminated as Arabix efficiently allows you to create and edit Arabic text, which can then be added onto many applications like Microsoft PowerPoint, or any presentation database, or word processor," said Mr. Ghsassan Bendali, Product Manager of Arab Business Machine Ltd.(ABM)

Speaking on the virtues of the Textra with regard to Arabic support, he added "Textra Freehand, Textra Illustrator are another innovative software developed to assist Arab users in creating localized versions of their design. These products also include various new Arabic fonts and additional features that have been unavailable so far. Textra products are bound to mesmerize its Middle East users with its Arabic capabilities."

However, the central product in Apple's efforts to entice the Arab world, is the Arabic-enabled Mac OS X V10.2 "Jaguar". The product carries Apple's sense of loyalty towards the Arab market and has, expectedly, been extremely successful in the region. With the emergence of newer Arabized products, this bon homie between the Middle East and Apple is bound to continue and grow in the future.
