The course is being conducted as part of the ongoing internal training programme of the civic body for the year 2007.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department said the course, to be held on February 1, would be attended by a group of fresh graduates among the employees of the municipality.

He said the course is aimed at enhancing the behavioural skills essential for the employees to deal with the customers in a more effective way and also to offer excellent services to them. It will enable them to undertake the transactions, especially regarding complaints and problems, more fluently.

Al Zarouni said the training course would provide the participants with an idea on the requirements for an excellent customer service and the challenges faced in this area: human, individual, organizational, and system. It will also brief the participants on the effective methods of dealing with the complaints and problems of the customers.

Al Zarouni said the second training course of the week called, "Risk Based Auditing," will be held from 28-30 January. The course would be attended by a group of heads of units and auditors in the municipality.
He said the course is aimed at briefing the participants about the concept of risk based auditing and defining the risks involved in it and the methods of facing them.

Al Zarouni said the third course of the week called, "Organizational loyalty and professional morality in public sector," will be held on February 1. The course would be attended by a group of administrative officers and fresh graduates in the municipality.

He said the training is aimed at ensuring compliance of the work ethics and professional traditions that will help the freshers accomplish high performance in their duties at the Municipality.
