Dubai free zones, VoIP ban

VoIP calls will be blocked from Dubai's free zones from next month following the latest ruling by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, reported Gulf News. du, which runs services in the free zones, said the decision to bar VoIP calls will affects all calls from PCs to fixed or mobile phones via the Internet. Last November, it was rumoured the TRA would actually lift its ban on the technology.
