Al Ain is known as the Eastern Region because of its geographical location in the UAE. It is 160 kilometers far from the capital Abu Dhabi, and spreads east in the vicinity of the 'Hajar' mountains spreading from the Sultanate of Oman. Al Ain comprises of seven palm oases where man settled ages ago and built houses and castles. It has distinguished tourist locations and cosmic green areas, which gave tourists the reason to call it 'the Garden City' or 'the Green Gulf Garden'. It has more than 71 parks, which are an important breather for people round the year.
Al Ain City also has many other tourist locations, such as the ice rink, the zoo, Jebel Hafit, high class hotels and residences, the historic camel bazaar, old souks, castles and historic structures, Ain Al Faydha, and Mabzara which is distinguished with its warm fountains and vast green areas.
