IDC figures placed Acer as the second-largest PC vendor across EMEA in Q4 2006, and according to IDC senior research analyst Michael Larner, Acer's growth was driven by its competitive desktop offerings and strong laptop sales. Acer held its position as leading laptop vendor in EMEA.
Proven to be a consistent performer in the Middle East market, Acer has registered strong, ongoing growth in major markets like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

With IDC figures for the Middle East set to be published in the next few days, Acer Middle East has stated that it is confident that Q4 2006, as well as its total end of year results, will demonstrate the increasing significance that Middle East growth is making on the global stage.
