Final Cut to build production facility in Dubai Studio City

Final Cut Film Production FZ LLC, a leading Egyptian film production company, announced today it will develop an AED one million production facility at the Dubai Studio City.

To be built over an area of 990 sq. ft., the facility will include a state-of-the-art sound studio for feature films and commercial productions.

Fadi Fahim, Managing Director and Executive Producer, Final Cut Film Production said: "Dubai is evolving dramatically as the new film production hub of the region. Dubai Studio City is the logical choice for our expansion outside of Egypt. With the diversity of its enabling services, this emerging cluster offers the ideal environment for our venture.

"Through this production facility, we plan to increase our involvement in drama and feature film as well as TV commercials productions. We are looking forward to contribute to the growth of the motion picture industry in Dubai and the region."


Set up in 1991, Final Cut has several successful productions to its credit, including Arabic feature films, documentaries and videos.
Jamal Al Sharif, Manager of Dubai Studio City said: "Egypt is an important pioneer in Arab cinema, and we are delighted to partner with one of its most distinguished production companies. Final Cut will represent a significant addition to our bouquet of production entities. We are confident Dubai Studio City's infrastructure and enabling services will offer Final Cut new opportunities to grow regionally."

In 2004, Final Cut shot 'El Sefara Fel Omara' in Dubai, a feature film starring the legendary Egyptian comedian Adel Imam. It was directed by Amr Arafa, a partner at Final Cut. Other key productions by the company includes 'Dehk we le3b we gad we hob' starring leading international star Omar Al Sherif, Yousra and renowned singer Amr Diab.

The company is also a leading producer of TV commercials. Its production includes commercials for leading multinational brands such as P&G Middle East and Africa and Mobinil, a leading telecommunications company in Egypt.

The Final Cut Film Production facility in Dubai Studio City is expected to be operational by mid 2008.
