- PRESS RELEASE
Mannai's Heavy Equipment Division (HED), Qatar's leading construction equipment dealer and the country's exclusive Grove distributor, recently hosted a visit from Grove's Middle East-based executives who evaluated the dealer on their 2006 performance.
The objective of Grove's Annual Distributor Evaluation is to ensure dealers, such as Mannai HED are performing and investing in Grove's products and after sales services inline with the manufacturer's global targets and standards. The evaluation of Mannai HED's 2006 performance looked at a number of criteria including sales, market share and facilities investment, and also incorporated planning for 2007 sales targets and analysis of market trends.
During the evaluation visit to Mannai's HED, Hamid Summers, Regional Sales Manager, Grove said: "Last year's sales performance for Mannai's Heavy Equipment Division was very strong, with a market research company contracted by us finding that Grove maintains a very strong retail market share of brand new Mobile Cranes in Qatar. Mannai's willingness to invest in their facilities and grow at the same rate as the market, which is currently booming, is a primary reason why Grove continues to sustain high sales in Qatar"
With rapid expansion of Qatar's construction and contracting industries, Grove has identified Qatar as a key market where through it partnership with local dealer, Mannai HED, the manufacturer aims to provide customers with equipment which meets their working needs.
"Grove is committed to partnering with dealers, such as Mannai's Heavy Equipment Division, who are established, have an intimate knowledge of their market and who actively take up new products and technology that fits the customer's requirements. Grove also oversees our capability to effectively service the Grove cranes we sell as equipment down time is a crucial issue in the construction industry that is only addressed by providing timely responses to unscheduled repairs," said Ahmed Said, Heavy Equipment Division Manager, Mannai Corporation.
With a reputation for reliable, strong lifting equipment and a presence in the Middle East for over 45 years, Grove is looking to further enhance its services by launching its new facility at the UAE's Jebel Ali Free Zone.
"The new Manitowoc Crane Group facility at the Jebel Ali Free Zone will be all about improving our support, commercial as well as technical to our dealers. The facility will also have training rooms, which we will use to train our dealer's staff about new products and after sales servicing in order to improve our overall service quality," Summers commented.
Grove, which was founded in 1947, has been partnering with Mannai HED since 1977 and has developed a reputation in Qatar's construction industry for building machines that maintain their resale value and are built to last.
"Our partnership with Mannai continues to go from strength to strength, as Mannai was the first dealer in the Middle East to sell Grove's largest crane the GMK 7450. Testament to our machines capabilities and our relationship with Mannai is also the fact that today there are still cranes operating in Qatar that were manufactured in 1962," added Summers.
