UAE Minister of Health inaugurates region's largest healthcare congress and exhibition

The 32nd Arab Health Exhibition and Congress 2007, organised by IIR Middle East, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and President, Department of Health and Medical Services, is widely acknowledged as one of the most essential healthcare events in the world today.

The Leaders in Healthcare conference will headline the largest multi-track medical congress in the world. New conferences added to the congress this year include the IT In Healthcare, Molecular Imaging for Cancer, Vascular Surgery, Management of Rheumatic Diseases, Middle East Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference, Healthcare Insurance and Advances in Healthcare.

Coupled with the regular offerings of conferences such as Hospital Design & Upgrade (HDU), Middle East Laboratory Management & Medicine, Complementary Medicine: Evidence Based Treatment, and Middle East Wounds Congress, Arab Health, for the first time in 2007, will be offering all attending specialists a complementary E-book (CD format) in their area of expertise for those attending Leaders in Healthcare, Middle East Obs-Gyne, Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, ME Imaging and Diagnostic, and Advances in Laparoscopic Surgery Conferences.

In addition to the E-book, the Advances in Healthcare Conference, presented by Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), Harvard Medical School Dubai Center (HMSDC) and the Dubai Harvard Foundation on January 30th, will be offered free of charge for all attendees. Distinguished speakers such as, Dr. Joseph B. Martin, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, will discuss the latest trends in medical education and technology.

Arab Health 2007, which will occupy all 11 halls of the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, will run from January 29th to February 1st. Almost 2,200 companies from 70 countries have confirmed participation in the event, which features 30 national pavilions and an expected visitor turnout of 30,000 people. This year, Arab Health will run a total of 16 conferences, 14 of which will be accredited by the American Academy of Continuous Medical Education (AACME), over 4 days, with an expected 4,500 delegates attending.

Arab Health 2007 will take place from 29th January to 1st February 2007 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, United Arab Emirates.

Physicians from across the region who attend the Arab Health Conference sessions will earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits as the sessions are recognized by the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME). IIR ME has passed a series of rigorous and internationally recognized standards for the provision of continuing medical education and quality health care, set by the AACME, and has subsequently been awarded status as an 'Accredited Organization with Commendation'. Over 17,000 worldwide health care organisations are accredited by the AACME.
