Qatar Airways supports 'World in 2007- Executive Forum'

Qatar Airways was the Official Airline for the recently concluded 'World in 2007- Executive Forum', an Economist Conference held in Dubai.
"We are pleased to have associated with such a forward looking conference as the Executive Forum that discussed issues and opportunities companies will have to face moving into 2007. It was very relevant for us to offer our support to the conference as we ourselves have ambitious plans for this year, including 9 new destinations that will take Qatar Airways into a wider market," commented Ali Al Rais, Senior Manager, Commercial Operations, Qatar Airways.
Eminent speakers at the Forum included Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, CEO, Mashreqbank; Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco, President and CEO, GE International; Thomas Donahue, President and CEO, US Chamber of Commerce;Ian McCaig, CEO, lastminute.com; and Dr. Mohammed Khalfan bin Kharbash, UAE Minister of State for Finance and Industry.
Delegates at the Forum had a chance to meet up with the Qatar Airways team at the event and learn more about the Airline's facilities, destinations, holiday packages and loyalty programmes.
Qatar Airways expects to carry 8 million passengers during the current financial year that ends in March 2007. The airline operates a modern fleet of 52 all-Airbus aircraft to 71 destinations worldwide from Doha, the latest route being to Tanzania's financial and commercial capital of Dar es Salaam, launched on January 9.
Qatar Airways expands its international network further in 2007 with the launch of non-stop scheduled flights between Doha and New York, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Lagos, Chennai and Ahmedabad, together with two points in Northern and Eastern Europe.
