HP demonstrates how enterprises can reduce costs and increase agility
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, January 31 - 2007 at 10:16
- PRESS RELEASE
HP Middle East held a seminar to share and discuss strategies towards implementing the next generation of IT for enterprise and SMB organizations across the Middle East.
The breakout sessions delved into several interesting topics including key strategies for agile, resilient, cost-effective IT environments; best practice tips on IT consolidation and business continuity and availability; comprehensive ILM solutions enabling organizations to capitalize on business information; and HP's Adaptive Infrastructure offerings that help lower cost of operations, improve quality of service and increase overall speed and efficiency.
"Enterprises and SMB's across the region now realise the impact of a sound IT infrastructure on overall business performance. The market is extremely robust and competitive and there is need now for organizations to embrace change more than ever before." said Mr. Fawwaz Qadan, ESS Director, HP Middle East.
"As the leading technology company in the world, HP offers simplified purchase options and an integrated access to services information and power management, helping our customers optimize server and storage infrastructures and reduce operational costs of managing growth and change." added Mr. Qadan.
Added Mr. Tenzing Chopathar, Marketing Manager, Adaptive Infrastructure, HP EMEA : "Today's Data Centres are high-cost IT islands where systems are dedicated to specific applications or processes resulting in server and storage resources not being shared. This silo-based approach means companies continue to buy new servers while already owning massive amounts of under-utilised capacity. Our Adaptive Infrastructure portfolio helps companies create solid and robust infrastructures by delivering improved cost efficiencies and quality of service thereby increasing overall productivity."
HP' new software additions provide advanced management for server and blade environments, thus helping automate IT processes, and allowing customers take complete control of their IT resources by providing enhanced power, performance and asset management. With these new features, customers can optimize server density by up to 40 percent based on accurate power and thermal measurements,(1) reduce administrator time spent managing servers, warranty information and support services. The new software tools and services are important enhancements to HP's Unified Infrastructure Management offering, which is a key enabler of the company's Adaptive Infrastructure portfolio.
HP offers wide array of Unified infrastructure Management Solutions which enhances the customers' ability to troubleshoot complex problems that span server and storage infrastructure and provide a single source for server and storage asset information. HP's Unified infrastructure Management Solutions enables effective cross-training across domains of expertise which allows customers to focus less on daily maintenance and more on meeting future business needs.
"With this seminar, we have demonstrated the real business value that virtualisation offers to customers in the region. Visualisation is a key enabler of the Adaptive Infrastructure. It lets IT Supply meet business demand. HP has the technology and expertise to help businesses in the region achieve real benefits from virtualisation. HP's virtualisation solutions and services can help customers reduce IT organisation and deliver a higher quality of IT service with more consistent and predictable availability," said Malcolm Garstang, Marketing Manager, Business Critical Server Division, HP.
