Movies and television soundtracks go live on Orbit with Soundtrack Channel

Adding a new dimension to its service offering, Orbit Communications Company has signed an exclusive deal with Soundtrack Channel (STC) the first and only satellite channel devoted entirely to movie music and entertainment.

Soundtrack Channel will be available in the Middle East exclusively through Orbit's latest Super Mega and Super Prime packages on channel 11 as of the 1st of February, 2007.

The California based Soundtrack Channel features music videos from movies and television soundtracks, including original movie videos that are produced specifically for the channel. In addition to an array of exclusive programming such as entertainment news, behind-the-scenes specials of the movie-making process and celebrity interviews

Mr. Ajouz, VP Marketing and Distribution Orbit Communications Company said:

"With the enormous universal interest in celebrity news, Hollywood content, music and movie entertainment, Soundtrack will draw intense viewer attention from across the region, complementing Orbit's regionally unmatched portfolio of western movies and general entertainment channel lineup".


STC's most popular shows include 'On Set!' which takes viewers behind the scenes and on location, giving them direct access to the movie-making process, 'Out Now on DVD' that gives viewers a look inside the latest DVD releases via special features, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, scenes from the latest movies. 'STC Exclusive Videos' featuring original movie soundtrack music videos that are exclusive to the Soundtrack Channel. And many other popular shows such as The Big Scene, Morning Mix, STC Classics and the latest Top Ten Countdown.

With this wide array of entertainment, STC responds to different tastes and age groups, making it one of Orbit's great family oriented channels.
