The announcement was made today by senior representatives of the premier healthcare centre at the Arab Health 2007 Exhibition.
The centre's opening heralds a new era in medical care across the region with the presentation of benchmark facilities that have not yet been seen in the Middle East. For example, the introduction of genetic screening, interventional and tele-radiology services, and other new treatment modalities and expertise introduced by the Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre team will provide immediate benefits for patients and consumers across the region.
'By providing the highest possible level of healthcare in the region we will give patients and consumers a reason to stay in the Middle East for their healthcare needs and concerns,' said Dr. Sulaiman Abdulaziz Al-Habib, Chairman, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre.
The medical centre's state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including '64 slice' CT, 1.5 Teslar MRI and mammography screening, will reduce the amount of visits patients make to the facility. The centre's fully digital technology and advanced treatment services will prevent the need to leave the region in order to find quality healthcare abroad and will attract more foreign visitors to the UAE's shores.
The establishment of the Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre is designed not only to give healthcare in the region an infrastructural boost but aims to make Dubai the central healthcare hub for the entire Middle East. The Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre understands that this can only be done by providing the most comprehensive, international healthcare standards in the GCC. And this will be achieved through a combination of implementing world's most cutting edge medical technology with the highest qualified physicians.
Dubai Healthcare City was considered the ideal location for the new medical centre based on the development's paralleled aspirations to provide for the region's needs for high quality healthcare. The first phase of the development is approximately 4.1 million square feet in size and in combination with the planned second phase will provide seamless, comprehensive programmes of disease management, prevention and wellness.
'We are proud to have Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre (HMC), a leading multi-speciality centre as one of our partners. HMC's facilities and world renowned professionals will support DHCC's dedication to provide excellence in-patient care,' said Dr. Muhadditha Al-Hashimi, CEO, Dubai Healthcare City.
The Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Centre continues to participate at the current Arab Health 2007 Exhibition, which runs from 29th January - 1st February, at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. With conferences on a wide array of topics, the Arab Health 2007 Exhibition provides an ideal platform for the advancement of practices catering for the region's medical needs.
