The Terry Fox Story:
Terry Fox was a young Canadian who lost his leg to cancer when he was just eighteen. After his treatment he decided to try and run across Canada to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Unfortunately Terry didn't make it because the cancer spread to his lungs. He did however complete an amazing 5,531 km at the staggering rate of 43 km each day and raised over $24 million and was told shortly before his death that an annual run would take place to continue what he had started. Terry Fox's dream was that a cure for cancer would someday be found.
