Thunderstorms hit the UAE yesterday with flooding in the streets of Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain and Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah also experiencing downpours, reported Gulf News. Meanwhile, a dust haze developed over Al Ain with wind speeds reaching 15 knots. The adverse weather conditions affected events such as the Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament and the victory parade of the UAE's football team.
