Dubai rent cap to hit buy-to-lets

The introduction of a 7% rental cap in Dubai this year could impact on the healthy buy-to-let market in the emirate, reported Gulf News. In some areas, rents increased by up to 80% in the period before the government intervened with last year's 15% cap. Analysts believe the market will stabilise and become more end user driven, although rental returns will remain good compared to places like the UK.
