- PRESS RELEASE
Local charity Gulf for Good first Borneo Charity Challenge from July 5th - 13th, 2007.
Andy Jackson, Gulf for Good's Challenge Director said, "Borneo has so much to offer in terms of activities and scenery, that taking our challengers there is sure to be unforgettable. We've always wanted to do a challenge there because it is one of the most accessible and scenic places for this kind of adventure. It's a superb venue for kayaking, biking, rafting and trekking - so we decided to utilize all of the adventure resources in the area and put together this multi-Challenge."
Taking place in the Sabah region within Malaysian Borneo, this 9-day Challenge will take participants kayaking in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park; cycling the Sabah Tea route; bamboo rafting in the Kiulu River; and hiking to the summit of Mount Kinabalu (4,095m / 13,450ft).
Rated as a hard fitness level and accompanied by a local team of experienced guides, participants in this challenge will be able to truly test their limits whilst experiencing and exploring an exceptional part of Asia in the company of like-minded individuals. Participants will need to raise a minimum sponsorship to take part, but no previous experience is necessary and free training sessions will be held.
