RTA participates in "Leaders in Construction Conference"

In its commitment to keep pace with the latest developments in the construction sector, the Rail Agency of Road and Transport Authority (RTA) took part in the two-day "International Leaders in Construction Conference"
On behalf of Engineer Abdul Majeed Al-Khajaa, CEO Rail Agency, Engineer Bassam M. Mansour, Director of Engineering (CEO Office) represented the RTA in this significant event. On this occasion, Mansour delivered a keynote speech and a presentation where he highlighted a number of critical issues and challenges facing the construction of major Railway international projects including Dubai Metro.
"The construction of railways is considered a specialist field that demands an extensive knowledge of railway functionality and knowing the big picture of what is being delivered, said Mansour.
On his presentation, Mansour informed the conference attendees of the challenges ahead, the chronology of Dubai Metro development, safety policies, safety strategies and risk assessment tools, contract plans and specification strategies, Dubai Metro facilities (stations and depots), construction strategies (programs, enabling works and logistics) and the future railway plans.
Mansour further paid tributes to the wise directives of H.E. Mattar Al-Tayer, Chairman of Board and Executive Director of RTA and his incessant support that has effectively contributed to make the construction works being executed throughout Dubai Metro project a success. He also praised the efforts exerted by the Rail Agency employees and how committed they are in executing their duties.
