int@j Board 2007-2009 assigns Chairman and Vice Chairman

The new Board Members of int@j met at the Sheraton Hotel on January 31, 2007 to assign the new roles of the Board.
Mickael Ghossien of Jordan Telecom, Mustafa Nasereddin of Abu Ghazaleh & Co Consulting AGCON, Hazem Malhas of Al-Faris National Company for Investment & Export (Optimiza), Ihab Hinnawi of Umniah, Ayman Mazahreih of Arab Academy for Microsoft Technologies, Doha Abdelkhaleq of Eskadenia, and Walid Tahabsem of Integrated Technology Group will serve as Board Members.
Marwan Juma, CEO of XPress, and a previous Chairman of int@j from 2002 to 2004 is prepared to take his post and provide again. He quoted, "I am quite excited to be working with such a wonderful group of people. I am both hopeful as well as confident that together as one team we will take int@j and our industry to much higher levels."
Jawad Abbasi has also served as Secretary General of int@j from 2004 to 2006. He commented: "This incoming board of int@j has an expanded responsibility to rise up to the expectations of the sector and work towards achieving the strategic goals of int@j and the sector at large. Key among these goals is growing the annual ICT exports of Jordan from little more than 160 million US$ in 2005 to close to 750 million US$ by 2011. This goal is achievable, provided the sector works together towards enabling all factors that contribute to an indigenous export oriented ICT industry in Jordan."
int@j's CEO Mr. Sabri Tabbaa said that the recent int@j elections were by far the most attended elections in the history of the association; which demonstrates the keen interest of all the associations' members in participating in the decision making process that will shape the future of the industry in the years to come.
