Combining the best of form and function, new Blue is developed for individuals with a youthful mindset, who want great value, financial flexibility and world class customer service.

New Blue offers a host of benefits designed to meet the needs of its consumer target segment, including:
• Value Back programme that entitles 2 Cardmembers in Bahrain every month the chance to win back up to BD 375 of their statement balance for the month. For every BD 10 of purchases or cash withdrawal on the Card, Cardmembers will automatically receive draw entries. Plus additional draw entries will be awarded when reaching a minimum statement balance.
• Cash Back up to 1% every time you shop with the Card. This means Cardmembers will never pay full price again; an ideal feature for everyday purchases.
• Selects programme from American Express, a value-oriented programme that offers a host of exclusive local, regional and global offers and discounts for shopping, dining, leisure, travel and entertainment.

These enhanced features are in addition to Retail Protection and Travel Accident Insurance, worldwide Emergency Assistance, 24 hour Customer Service assistance, the ease of Online Account Access and Online Fraud Protection Guarantee.

Trevor Stokes, President & CEO of American Express Middle East, said new Blue stemmed from the need to support increasingly sophisticated consumer lifestyle and purchase habits. "Blue will cater to the 'young at heart' customer - those who are not only value seekers, but also conscious of how the Card can help them enjoy additional privileges everyday," Stokes stated.

"Lifestyles are constantly evolving. Consumers are making choices based on what distinguishes them, such as the car they drive, the clothes they buy, the places they visit," Stokes added. "Payment cards are now an essential aspect of everyday living, and the Card a person carries is no longer just a payment tool but also a combination of a lifestyle statement and enabler."

Paul Saks, American Express Country Manager for Bahrain, explained:

"The Blue advantage is Clear. As Bahrain's retail and leisure market continues to grow, consumers need a Card that is suitable for their everyday purchases and with the enhanced Blue, they will receive more tangible value. We are confident that new Blue will appeal to discerning consumers who seek a more refined lifestyle and good value for their daily shopping."

The creative campaign for Blue from American Express captures the essence of the Card's transparent plastic and clear value offerings with the message "Clearly Blue is for you."
