Emirates Post employees attend Executive Leadership Programme for Women

Seven women employees of Emirates Post attended a five-day Executive Leadership Programme for Women conducted by the Training & Development Centre in association with international training firm, Coach, from January 20 to February 1, 2007.

The workshop was designed to improve leadership skills of women employees through a series of innovative activities, keeping in mind the goals and vision of the corporation. There were several components to the programme, including team building and concepts of leadership. The main focus was on innovative leadership and this was conveyed through games, role playing and audiovisual aids.

Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post, who presented certificates to the participants, said: "Programmes like these are essential for imparting new skills to employees. In the UAE, there is a large pool of Emirati women who are talented and ready to take on challenging assignments. Emirates Post is delighted to give women the opportunities to make a strong contribution to society."
Mrs. Wiaam Shihab Ghanem, Manager, Training and Development Centre and Acting Manager, HR, Emirates Post, thanked Coach for its assistance in creating this programme for Emirates Post's women employees.

"We select the most useful courses for raising efficiency and upgrading employee skills. This workshop was part of a series of courses lined up by the Training Centre for its staff in the current year with the objective of improving career prospects and raising performance levels," said Mrs. Ghanem.
