Liverpool takeover completed

American businessmen George Gillett and Tom Hicks have jointly bought Liverpool football club in deal worth £450m, after Dubai International Capital had earlier withdrawn its bid, CNN reported. Liverpool had been in talks with the Dubai state-owned investment firm, which dropped its bid plans last week when the club asked for more time to consider a rival offer from Gillett.
