Du banks on 50 fils plan

UAE telco Du, which revealed its tariffs and products yesterday ahead of an 11 February launch, will be charging 0.5 fils per second for calls to mobiles and landlines, Gulf News reported. The company hopes the offer will give it a boost in its head-to-head battle with established operator Etisalat, which currently charges an initial rate of 50 fils for similar calls but also plans to switch to a per second scheme.
