e-TQM College to shape quality education in the region

e-TQM College recently held student orientations for its "Master of Science in Organisational Excellence" and "Bachelor of Arts in Business and Quality Management" degree programs, kicking off another year of educational advancement for the institution.

The central purpose behind the recent orientations was to introduce new students to the Bachelor of Art and Master of Science innovative degree programs, which are based upon a unique distance learning platform. The BA program, which is new to the university, follows a uniquely and powerfully blended learning approach that truly integrates the benefits of classroom learning, self paced learning and online learning. The MSc program is a mixture of theory and practical insights that seek to give a total, integrated perspective on the factors that support the development of Organizational Excellence in a modern business environment.

The students in attendance were happy to participate and had come to e-TQM College for many different reasons and interests. "The last two years of my degree program are based on an e-learning platform and therefore it gives me a chance to perhaps travel abroad to begin my MBA and still complete the BA in Business & Quality Management," said Balquees Abdulla, a student entering the Bachelor's program.

"The College has been extremely helpful and informative to me, and this orientation is a part of that." Sultan Al Holy found the MSc program perfect for his busy schedule: "The MSc programme at e-TQM College is the perfect solution for me and is the most suitable programme for my needs because it gives me the chance to learn online, even when I am away on business."

The Bachelor of Art degree, being offered this year for the first time ever, is quite a distinctive program in the way it is conducted. The program features an innovative mixture of both classroom and web based learning, making the program stand out in its field. The Master of Science degree in Organisational Excellence continues to be at the centre of the College's existence, with the program expounding on the pioneering teachings of Total Quality Management.

The program's very specific structure is what attracted many of the students to the classes. "The classes are offered at many different times which works for students who are working during the day," added Balquees Abdulla. "The fact that this college completely concentrates on Quality Management training while other institutions barely touch on it is what separates it from the rest and why I chose to attend here."
