Scheduled to open a week after the 2008 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, Bahrain Motor Show 2008 will run for three days and is envisioned to become the region's major meeting point for leading car and truck manufacturers, agents and show goers actively in the market for a new vehicle who want to comparison shop. With its wealth of business opportunities, this exciting initiative is anticipated to serve as the sales sparkplug for the Gulf region's prospering motor industry.
A rich calendar of initiatives, with emphasis on car service and ecomobility, pollution, LPG and methane systems, car tuning, dealership management, aftermarket services, technical and financial products for repairers, petrol stations and customer services sectors as well as its magnificent displays of new production vehicles, concept cars, environmentally-friendly vehicles and pimp cars are expected to draw the attention of the media and observers in search of a wholesome place to visit with the family on a sunny day in spring.
Other issues that will be investigated during the event include company car solutions, the rental sector, car leasing, company fleet sales, solutions for the integrated management of outsourcing and chauffeur-driven car hire services. Its business-to-business section will focus on the evolution of the original car dealers. Details of an intensive conference programme will be released shortly.
BIEC's vast and column-free exhibition halls are well-suited to host Bahrain Motor Show 2008 which will feature three exhibition sections, i.e., new production automobiles (eg, manufacturers and importers, sports and racing cars, motor sport, tuning, automobile parts from the ancillary suppliers' industry as well as trade associations and societies); car tuning (eg, optical, chassis and performance tuning, automobile parts and accessories); and a gallery of oldtimers and classic cars (eg, prestigious automobiles, accessories and spare parts) with a special presentation of not-for-sale historic vehicles.
Exhibitors that will be represented at the innovative motor show will be coming from Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE and the USA.
Bahrain Motor Show 2008 is the inaugural joint venture event of BECA with MESSE ESSEN GmbH, one of the leading fair companies in Germany with the most number of exhibitors in recent years. It is being organised with the support of the Ministry of Industry & Commerce and the Bahrain International Circuit.
Bahrain Motor Show 2008: Sales sparkplug for prospering motor industry
Following the successful visit to Essen, Germany, of a business development delegation from Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority (BECA) who met with various companies from the automotive industry to explore the viability of holding a one-of-a-kind car event in the Kingdom of Bahrain, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between BECA and MESSE ESSEN GmbH (Germany) to organise the first-ever Bahrain Motor Show in April 2008 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIEC).
