Mitsui, $7bn petrochem link

Japan's Mitsui & Co has been linked to a $7bn petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia being built by Saudi International Petrochemical, Reuters reported. The Nikkei business daily reported that Mitsui could invest tens of billions of yen in the new plant. The complex will be completed by 2011 and will have a production capacity of 1.3m tonnes of ethylene and propylene per year.
