Dubai World to study joint investment projects with Tunisia

Dubai World Vice Chairman and Group CEO, Port & FreeZone World (P&F World), Jamal Majid bin Thaniah, met Thursday February 8 with a high-level delegation from Tunisia and discussed the potential for joint investments.
Their talks dealt with boosting economic links between Dubai and the North African Arab state, including the potential for joint investments.
Mr Bin Thaniah said: "Dubai and Tunisia enjoy a long and rich history of trade ties that we could build on for the mutual benefit of our peoples. Dubai World will seriously study the prospect of initiating joint investment projects."
The visiting Tunisian delegation was briefed on Dubai World's achievements in various fields, especially in establishing and managing free zones and seaports all over the world.
DP World, the Group's flagship marine terminal operator, has its presence on every continent, which places it among the leading operators in the world. It manages 51 container terminals in 24 countries.
The Tunisian delegation included Mohammed Al Sharif, Director-General of Civil Aviation, Samir Al Hakimi, Director-General of the Department of Ports and Maritime Authority, Mohammed Al Sidiri, and Tunisia's Ambassador in UAE, Abulraoof Al Garisi.
The talks were also attended by Salma Hareb, CEO, Jafza and Economic Zones World, and Salim Ali Al Za'abi from the UAE National Transport Authority.
