QIB: Successful liquidation of "Bader-5' Property Portfolio in France

Qatar Islamic Bank announced a successful redemption from the "Bader-5" property portfolio in France, one of the Investment Funds launched in 2003 in cooperation with "Inovalis", an asset management company.

"Liquidation results were beyond expectations as distributed profit to customers taking part in that investment amounted 24% in a 3-year term, in addition to 15% capital profit realized upon the sale of the portfolio's properties," said Prof. Abdullatif Al Meer, General Manager of the bank's Business Group.

He stated further that, apart from the 15% capital gains realized due to the increase in property prices in France, a fixed cash return of 8% p.a. has been disbursed on a quarterly basis over the past three years.

Mr. Al Meer expressed also the banks' satisfaction for the outstanding returns it achieved for its customers, clarifying at the same time that the redemption has been timed out to cope with the investment terms given in the Fund's prospectus.

He confirmed in this respect that the bank intends to pursue its successful strategy regarding its investment funds by devising innovative portfolios that seize promising investment opportunities in both property and infrastructure sectors in the European markets, with the aim to achieve generous returns to the customers.
