- Saudi Arabia: Monday, February 12 - 2007 at 12:31
Saudi Arabia is aiming to turn its international airports into state-owned companies, according to Abdullah Ruhaimy, the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and cited by Arab News. Ruhaimy said the commercial operation of airports would commence within three years. The airports would have their own independent status before being transferred over to the state; the plan is aimed at improving the management of the airports.
