National companies urged to participate in upcoming coastal conference

Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality stressed on the importance of the participation of national companies and establishments who are working in the field of marine projects in the forthcoming 7th Conference of Coastal Engineering and Ports in Developing Countries

The event is scheduled to be hosted by the city of Dubai from the 24-28 February.

He said the conference assumes high significance due to the fact that it will showcase many practices and projects in the field of coasts and ports from around the world and a number of important working papers will be presented by experts and technicians in the field.

Lootah called all the companies working in the field to take active part in the conference and get benefited from the expertise on environmental or engineering aspects presented in the conference. He said the Municipality is committed to the success of the event.

Lootah was meeting the representatives of the companies in the presence of Eng. Essa Al Maidour, Assistant Director General for Planning and Buildings Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the event, Eng. Khalid Al Zahid, Director of Coastal Management Department at the Roads and Transport Authority and Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee and members of the consulting authority for the conference.

Al Maidour also gave a presentation on the conference and briefed on the preparations for the event, which is held every four years.
