Kuwaiti refinery costs blow

Kuwait's oil executives are weighing up their options after companies seeking to build a refinery in the country submitted bids which were double their initial estimates, reported the AFP. Kuwait plans to spend around $6.3bn on the construction of the refinery which would have a capacity of 615,000 barrels per day. A total of 11 firms have bid for the project which is due to be completed in early 2010.
